Hello, everyone! I’m finally back from my start-of-the-year hiatus, and I’m so excited to be creating again. I wanted to start 2022 off with a happy welcome to the new year and an update on what you can expect from me in the coming months. I have some fun things planned, and I can’t wait to tell you more.
What I’ve Been Up To
Some of you may already know about the projects I’ve been working on over my break, but for those of you who don’t, here’s a quick update.
I recently published my first book, Winter and Other Poems, and it’s available for purchase at most online book retailers. It’s a book of poetry about being LGBTQIA+, dealing with religious trauma, and more. If you want to support me by purchasing my book, feel free to click on the link above. It’s been a project of mine for a couple of years now, so seeing it finished is spectacular. A huge thank you to everyone who has already purchased it! If you want a sneak peek of what to expect, you can read my poem “Peppermint Mocha” for free right here on the blog.
Other than that, I spent my break spending time with my family. My fiance and I got our engagement photos done, which was pretty fun. Taking this break has really helped me reset and have a better mindset about creating. I’ve been focusing a lot on my mental health and having healthy mindsets towards creativity and productivity. I highly recommend examining your own mindsets if you haven’t already.
Anyways, that’s all for the update on my life, so let’s chat about what I have planned for 2022.
Plans For The New Year
I wrote about this a bit in a previous post, but after I lost the files for my blog I decided to change up what I was posting a bit. I realized I will never be able to recreate everything, and it was stressing me out anyway. Now I have the opportunity to focus on what I really want to be creating. My hope is for that to show this year over both my blog and youtube.
This year on the blog I hope to post more about ttrpg (table top role-play games). I have plans to share tips and tricks, as well as freebies like maps for your own games. What kind of ttrpg content would you like to see? I also plan on posting more “life journal” type content to discuss my own life and what I’ve learned a bit more. I plan on posting more of my creative writing as well. Overall, I want things here on the blog to stay pretty laid back and casual.
As far as YouTube goes, my channel is where I plan on posting more of my creative and experimental content. I still plan on posting vlogs and other cozy content, but I also want to try some new things. I’m planning on experimenting with some videos that will have more of a short film feel to them. I’ve never created anything like that before, so we’ll see how it turns out. It’s nice to give myself the freedom to be creative though.
Overall, you can expect the vibes here to stay as cozy and inquisitive as ever. Thank you to everyone who has stuck around this long. I can’t wait to see what the new year has in store!
Happy January!
